Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman has been an outstanding professor of psychology since 1993. She is also the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name is often credited for initiating the contemporary science-based study of children's memories of eyewitnesses and children's victim witnesses within lawful contexts. Professor Goodman published widely and has won many grants and has been honored with many national and international distinctions. She consults with numerous governments and agencies across the world regarding policies as well as the study of child victimization in the court system. She serves as an expert consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of a variety of professional organizations which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She is the founder of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of the the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division and three Divisions of Children and Families Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
